Gorgeous Girl 2 Posted September 1, 2016 (edited) I am 5 months post op and only started having problems with Constipation? Does anyone else get constipation and if the answer is yes do you take something to prevent it on a regular basis, how often and what do you take? Thanks Sent from my SM-G900I using the BariatricPal App Edited September 1, 2016 by Gorgeous Girl

madadams 130 Posted September 1, 2016 It depends on your team. Everyone has different instructions. I could have it straight away. There are some people who think it's a diuretic but it's not if you drink it regularly. I have 1-2 cups a day. I'm 6 months post op. OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted September 2, 2016 Drinking lots of Water is the best long term solution. It doesn't have to be a ton either but you find the sweet spot eventually. Also added in salad greens like a European mix and or spinach. I didn't want to start down the laxative Fiber route and be stuck having to take them forever, so I just found natural ways to stay regular.

Gorgeous Girl 2 Posted October 29, 2016 My doctor suggested eating a pear once a day as it has the best natural fibre. I thought whatever but it has made a huge difference. Sent from my SM-G900I using the BariatricPal App
