bellalulu 87 Posted September 4, 2016 We must be twins. I have a UTI as well and my pre op is also the 7th. So, I asked my team and spoke with the nurse and they said it's not a problem. Just get it treated and take your antibiotics and you should be okay. I also took the pyridium / AZO that is over the counter for pain and you should be okay. I also read that of you need it and still have a UTI day of surgery they can give you the antibiotics through the iv. I was a mess w that UTI but after I got the antibiotic and pain pills I was good. I'm still on them. It was rough but I'm way better and even been out and about w the hubby. How are you feeling. My nurse said that if you have any infection including a UTI you can become septic and have a lot of complications. So you better make sure you tell your team you have or had the UTI.
