Hi all, I was sleeved Monday Aug 29th. I would like to hear all august sleevers chime in on their experience.

Me I was discharged this morning Tuesday and only given a script for pain nothing else. I am blessed to have no nausea, no vomiting or even much gas thank god. My only problem is I never had surgery before and am a Man lol so I'm such a baby the pain and tenderness in my stomach is killing me just 2 days out I hope it gets better soon.

The pain reliever they gave me took care of my pain almost 100%. Maybe you should ask for something stronger. In the hospital I was on dilaudid and they sent me home with Percocet. They should have sent you with a script for a stool softener as well bc all narcotic pain meds cause terrible and painful Constipation.

By the way I was sleeved the 25th. Was discharged the 26th. No issues so far other than weakness from not being able to get my recommended Protein and liquid in.

I was also on diluted and ali given a script for percocet. I was not given a stool softener script but taking OTC coach stool softener on my own . I have not yet gone number 2 as of yet. I guess percocet does help but it is all just so tender and sore and honestly I am not walking as much as I should.

Glad to hear you're not suffering with the usual. However, it's SO important to get walking! You're doing great. Try to drink your Water. Everyday it will get better. Best wishes!

That's good, though. You won't experience dehydration that can happen at the beginning.

Hi! I was sleeved on 8/8. I went into the hosp at 9 am and was on the way home by 3 pm. The first week was hard but now 3 weeks out I am able to tolerate pretty much anything as long as I take small bites and go slow. I am down 13 pounds and have started back into yoga.

I was sleeved on 8/25, discharged on 8/26. I only have pain when I try to twist my body. My JP drain is out and I am tolerating my full liquids. I'm just ready for some scrambled eggs.

Note to self: I don't have to take this day all at once but rather one step, one breath and one moment at a time. I am only one person.

I was sleeved the same day!

I'll start by saying that I'm so jealous. The pain I expierenced on day 2 was INSANE. Today on day 3, I am doing a little better but very uncomfortable. I vomited about 25 times in the hospital and thank goodness, none at home yet.

I tried on tiny half a tea spoon of Jello... Nope. I crave Water and actually had a tiny bit of diluted apple juice and vegetable broth.

I never imagined it was going to be this hard for me. My mom who is 36 years older than me was ready to go out and the doctor let her transition to regular food within 2 weeks....

I did wanna tell you tho, for pain, what's working for me best is ibuprofen, then percocet, then ibuprofen, then percocet. They took me off of diludad after the first day because my gas was so bad they needed to change my meds, then put me on liquid ibuprofen and it was a miracle. I notice that too much percocet hurts the tummy tho, probably because there is no food cushion. But I'd def ask the doctor about ibuprofen!!

Sleeved 8/29 here too! No problem getting Water in at all. Feeling pretty hungry and weak which makes me nervous. Everything tastes terrible.

Given liquid oxy and Tylenol but not taking any. I do have to take liquid Zantac for 30 days twice a day. It's freaking awful. Makes me want to gag. Anyone else required to take that?

Holding out and praying for mushies.

Hello, I was sleeved on the 22nd and released on the 23rd. Had Clear liquids that day. Went to full liquids the next day. Was on diluddad through iv and liquid oxyicodon for break through pain. And promethazine for nausea. Then they sent me home with Vicodin promethazine and robaxin

29th here as well. Pain free after the first 6 hours. Discomfort for a day. I was wore out on Thursday after Walmart shopping but Friday I did a longer round of Walmart and Safeway both. I walked 2 miles with my brother in law doing dishes golf today and I still feel great. Tomorrow I'm going salmon fishing. I start pureed diet tomorrow.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
