seeingme 91 Posted August 30, 2016 My BMI is 35.5. I have a hernia that was caused from my ovary removal 18 mo ago. My bariatric surgeon said he will not be repairing. I'm a little irritated by this because now I'll have to have another surgery, when I have had 14 in the last 26 months! My hernia is very noticeable and I worry it will be even moreso after surgery. I had a hysterectomy about 2 years ago and I sometimes have a slight pain feeling in my lower abdominal area. I went to my doctor in June, they ordered a CT scan and an Xray there was no sign of anything. He told me it's gas and prescribed a rx generic for Nexium. I've been searching the Web and it says sometimes these hernias are not caught with a CT scan. My surgery is Friday we'll see what happens!!
