I hit the 2 month post op yesterday the 28th. Now I've noticed I'm struggling deciding what to eat. I got cleared for all foods now but I don't know how to eat meaning what to actually eat. I know I'm allowed everything now but my doc says to avoid breads and Pasta etc. for at least 6 months. I actually just want an idea of what others eat. Like what does a normal day of meals look like including the Water and Protein. I started the gym a week ago and I'm trying to go at least 4xs a week since I noticed my weight loss has decreased to like 1 pound a week sometimes nothing. I did go from 234lbs to now 190. I think I just might have hit a stall and I'm just embracing it like I have read in other posts lol.

Here's an example of my day

Breakfast = Dannon lite and fit Greek yogurt

lunch = half to 3 quarter cup of homemade chili (made with ground turkey, kidney Beans, and bell pepper, and Tomato puree and seasoning of course)....that's this week..........some times I have an Atkins frozen dinner, but can only eat a little more than half.

Dinner = 3 ounces of Grilled or baked meat (chicken, fish, pork chop) with non starchy veggie. I can usually only take a bite or two of the veggie

If I'm hungry after dinner or need more Protein I may have another yogurt...

As far as Water I drink Water all day....on average about 80 ounces. I don't drink any Protein shakes.

Thank You so much. I might try the Atkins frozen meals if I can find them near the food stores I go.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
