What was the longest stall you had?

Recommended Posts

So I have been stalling lately for 2-3 weeks at a time and only lost 2 pounds in 2 months. Surgery was 4/26 lost 45lbs total. I'm 4 months out and feel I should have lost a lot more. At my 3 month check up they said I was on track but I don't feel like I am. Honestly it's so hard days to even get all my Protein and Water in. I was just wondering if anyone else had long stalls like me. I have only found couple days to 2-3 weeks stalls at the most.

I'm in the same boat and it is so frustrating. Here's my info:

HW 206

Surgery weight 194 on May 16th 2016

Current weight 170

I've only lost 24 pounds since surgery in May. I keep telling myself to hang in there, it will come off slowly but I worry that this is it. I'll just keep plugging away and hope it comes off and more importantly, stays off.

Anyone else with a similar situation?

between 4-6 months - so just about a week shy of a two month STALL. back to loosing slowly now. who knows, my body needed a rest. My doctor says I am right on track also, and all my labs came back healthy except my b Vitamins which were too high (no more Vitamin Water zero for me for a while)

I am happy. I know I will continue to loose if I continue to follow a healthy lifestyle.

I start back with my workout next week and going to see if that helps. I'm honestly freaking out that I'm not going to lose any more. I hope this passes but this is a super long stall. Glad there's people out there like me but not happy we are not losing. Glad we can share our stories together. Good luck girls!! We have to kick these stalls in the arse!!!

@@mrsdoubtfire I lost 14 pounds in the liquid diet phase alone and thinking of doing it again starting next week when I start my workout. Also I read in another post that hitting your Protein goals helps tremendously with the weigh loss. That I don't get in. I wonder if everyone else having a stall gets all their Protein in.

Good point @asmallerme2016. I think I may do the same. I try to get in all my Protein but I haven't been tracking, so I definitely need to. I also did well with the pre-op diet so I may do that again for a week just to give myself a kick in the butt. I have been stalled for almost a month and it is driving me crazy!

As discouraging as slow weight loss is, this thread actually encouraged me. I'm 3 months out and have lost 24 pounds since surgery. I lost 14 pounds pre op so it's a total of 38. Almost all of the 24 pounds was lost the first 2 months and this last 4-5 weeks I've fluctuated the same 5 pounds. I was convinced I was doing something wrong and not going to lose anymore weight. I'm hoping my body decides to start letting go of some more weight soon!

I'm 8 months out and just got through a 2 month stall.. All of a sudden dropped 3 pounds. Hoping it keeps going!! The weight loss..not the stall :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
