Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted August 29, 2016 It is possible but not very common. As long as you are getting in all of your Protein and fluids and taking your Vitamins and supplements you should be ok. What does your surgeon say about your progress so far? laceemouse 631 Posted August 29, 2016 I'm about a month out from surgery. Can you loss too much weight? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App There are so many variables, the main one being how much do you need to lose?? Most people lose quickly at first, especially those who have a LOT to lose, but then it slows down. The sleeve will stretch, you will be able to eat more, your hunger will come back, etc. Most people have to start working to lose weight after a few weeks or months. I am pre-op though, I am just going by what I have read and heard. Always best to ask your doctor or NUT.

Everything was submitted to the insurance company two weeks ago tomorrow, so I am waiting now. By the time of surgery, I will be close to having lost 100 pounds. At that point, I will be about 10 pounds above the BMI threshold. I decided that I am not going to worry about it and just see what happens. I imagine that it will be approved, but we'll see...
