Do you gain weight after 2 week liquid diet

Recommended Posts

My question is I am on my 2 week post op liquid diet until I get to mushie foods, do you gain weight when moving to mushie/regular foods? I'm just curious cause right now I'm getting 1 1/2 to 2 Protein Shakes in a day so going from that regular food you must gain a little weight?

I did not gain when moving to the "mushie foods." I was careful with my portions. That part went great. Just follow your plan.

No, You may see a Water weight gain throughout your journey but

In order for you to gain weight from fat you will have to eat extremely off your plan and way over your calorie intake.

Which is actually physically impossible until you are fully healed. And even then, it would be hard to eat enough to actually gain legitimate weight until you're many, many months out.

You're going to stall in your weight loss, and yes, sometimes a gain will happen when you stall. Happened to me every time right before a stall. It all has to do with glycogen and Water storage this early out, and absolutely nothing to do with what you're eating.

There. Now you won't fret when it happens, right? ;)

No the calories consumed are still much to low to make you gain weight.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
