I just had a bottle of Seagrams Peach fuzzy navel last night! Only took me an hour and half to drink it. Sure felt warm and fuzzy all over, slept good too.

First drink was at 22 months only because I just don't think about having a drink, lol, its here. (I drank like a fish when it was legal at 18, about 30 yrs is when it just didn't mix anymore.) went on the Eastern Caribbean cruise in Dec 2015, had couple drinks while there. Ok every night while there , we would go to the club and sit listen to whatever and usually 2 hours I was done. I sure slept good on that ship. Going on the Western Caribbean in Oct, my I think I'll have fun.

Oh having lots of fun buying new clothes, bought my first dress also. Yep never owned a dress before, besides my wedding dress Jan of 15.

Enjoy people just go easy!

I have had a few drinks a few separate times. I was a cheap drunk....2-3 over the course of about 6 hours.

Did a Western Caribbean cruise last April.

Fun trip. Laying around the pool and going to the comedy shows. The ports we stopped at were so so....but the trip was very relaxing.

I'm 7 months out , went out this past weekend and had a few drinks. Never got drunk off one or two like everyone says you will. I was fine, it didn't upset my stomach either. I had a beer, a bloody mary , and I had a shot of something. All was well with me.

I am four years out. Down about 150 pounds. I am 5'8" - about 170. I've heard the wives tales about "stretching" your pouch from carbonated drinks and eating too much. At least for me that's a bunch of horse crap.

I drink diet sofas and beer and my stomach is about the same size as it was six months out of surgery.

Yes your pouch will expand - but that's part of the normal healing process.

I cant even come close to eating the amour of food I used to eat. Maybe a 10th of the volume - even now.

Gastric bypass enabled my life - it didn't destroy it. I enjoy craft beers. It only takes one or two to knock me on my butt - but I really enjoy it.

In fact I had a terrible case of Constipation for almost two years before I started drinking beer. I had to give myself enemas or end up with terrible intestinal pain. If I drink a few beers a week I go to the bathroom normally.

We all suffered greatly before, during and after surgery. LIVE your LIFE. You've earned it.

At just over 3 months out, I have to say I still have a drink or two at least once a week. I think it does pass through my system much more quickly, which is...interesting. Not so much that it hits me more, but I sober up faster.

Ask your doctor. The answer may surprise. He will be a good judge depending on your healing and weight loss.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
