Hi Ninny

I was banded last year, I can tell you we all go through this at one point or another. 30 pounds in 5 months isn't terrible, let me tell you! It averages out to what, 6 pounds a month?? That is what your Dr tells you is about target if he is anything like mine.

The first thing you need to make sure is that you are getting enough protien, you can never ever loose without it. You have to eat enough (or drink) enough protien.

You HAVE TO exercise, you have to whether you want to or not. Your body needs it to keep loosing.

DO NOT drink with meals, it makes you hungrier faster.

Get junk food out of hte house, this is my big problem! IF it is there we eat it, so just let it go away!

Good luck!

BTW, I in Jackosn, MI! :girl_hug:

30 pounds in 17 months is still a loss. We can help you get back on track! You have to make a recommittment to yourself to make it happen.

Start with tracking your eating and drinking daily. Fitday.com is a free site where you can do that and track EVERYTHING, do not leave anything off because you are only cheating yourself!

Do you attend a support group at all? While LBT is great you need a local support system as well. They can help keep you on track and have someone to work out with as well.

As far as the ticker I uploaded mine to photobucket and copied it over that way, it is the only way I can get it to work!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
