I took two chewable Trader Joe's High Potency multi-vitamins each day at your stage. One in the morning, one at night. You do have to take Calcium and Iron separately if you want/need those minerals. My labs were always terrific. Plus, the Trader Joe's Vitamins are cheaper, lower calorie, and lower carb than any specialty bariatric Vitamin.< /p>

My surgeon recommends Centrum chewable Adults. I take one in the morning and one in the evening. They are not terribly expensive and my blood work has been good (9.5 months out so far).

I use Source of Life liquid Vitamin for three years recommended by my fabulous educator, a compound pharmacist. It is on Amazon, not the average store. Our pharmacist has a great health food store. Tastes good and a bottle lasts forever.

I like the opurity Vitamins, the only one out of several I tried that I could stomach.

My surgeon recommends Flintstones complete. Make sure they are NOT the Gummy type. I will be taking 2 a day after my surgery. These are made for children and they really taste pretty good.

They are all disgusting. I cannot wait to be able to swallow pills again. I had the melts a couple of chewables and a liquid. They are all so terrible. The flintstones are the easiest but just try to make it quick because none are going to be good is my advice!

I also take the Bariatric Advantage Multi EA chewable. They are ok thought they would taste better. Going to ask my Dr at some point can I change to everyday Vitamins from CVS instead of having to get them on line for the rest of my life.

They are pricey the Bariatric Advatage Mutlivitamin.....m

My Dr also recommended Celebrate Multivitamin --MULTI COMPLETE 45-----it includes the MVI! B12, Vitamin D and IRON....it is cheaper and also a Capsule...I am going to try them after I finish the other ones. If anyone has tried the CELEBRATE MULTIVITAMIN..please let me know if they are any better than what I am taking now. Thanks

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
