Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted August 22, 2016 Post-op, one thing I have learned is to be satisfied with the aroma of some foods. The smell is often better than the taste anyway.

PJenkins 18 Posted August 22, 2016 I had my surgery 8/15. I am having some issue with the whole social eating thing. Now when my wife eats around me, I do realize that I watch her like a puppy watches a toddler. The smells and sight of what she is eating - wow! How do you get around that? daniotra 298 Posted August 22, 2016 Passed by a garlic fry stand at the boardwalk yesterday. The smell of all that garlic was heavenly, but I didn't want any. I liked just being able to enjoy the smell without getting hungry. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

It will get better once you can eat real food as well. You will find yourself satisfied with very little, so make it count nutritionally and make it tasty.
