hdw85 48 Posted August 21, 2016 Ok, so I am about 7 weeks post gastric bypass. When I eat I have maybe 3-4 bites and feel kinda full, well I take some time and then I can eat more. Is it normal to feel full after only a few bites then wait and eat more? If I stop at 3 bites I'm hungry in no time. Anybody else like this? generator77 24 Posted August 21, 2016 I don't feel full so I just go by the measurements my nut gave me. I eat really slowly and chew thoroughly. Most meals are around 1/4 cup of food.

James Marusek 5,244 Posted August 21, 2016 After surgery, I found that softer foods such as chili and Soups went down much easier than harder foods such as steak and chicken. So I primarily relied on these. I made my own chili and Soups and fortified them with extra Protein. I have included some of the recipes at the end of the following article. http://www.breadandbutterscience.com/Surgery.pdf

northcountyr1 199 Posted August 23, 2016 I had the sleeve about 5 weeks ago, a typical day for me is.. Breakfast, 1/4 cup of corn flakes with about 1/4 cup of skim milk. lunch, maybe 3 or 4 slices of turkey lunch meat with a wedge of laughing cow cheese and may try a piece of banana..like a fourth of a piece. dinner, a chicken strip and maybe 6 or 7 bites of like mashes potatoes. If I snack during the day, it's, nuts..watermelon, flavored crackers..ie instead of chips..my weakness. I almost always feel full.
