GrandmaJan 8 Posted August 19, 2016 Hello! I'm Janice aka Grandma Jan. I started my journey on June 30th and have been plugging through all the requirements of my program. I am so thankful to have found the team at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield IL. I was cleared last week by the psychologist, have 1 more visit with the nurse practitioner and have started my nutrition and physical therapy. Looking to be done with those by the middle to end of October. I'm excited, nervous and anything else I can think of. I will be 55 on Saturday and this is the best thing I can do for me! I have 7 grandkids and I want to be there for them and be able to attend all their sporting events and take them places without being unable to walk or get short of breath. I am happy to have found these forums. Even though we are all different it's awesome to be able to listen to everyone's stories both pre and post op.
