How long after a fill can you eat solid food? I go for my first fill at 2:00 today and I'm already so hungry! I was told not to have anything to eat for 8 hours before fill and nothing by mouth for 4 hours before. Does this include Water? :hungry:

your fill person will give you instructions. for me it is the rest of the day liquids then mushies for 2 then gradually up to solids, but follow your surgeon's directions.

YOu cn have Water as it passes through the band. My doctor doesn't say anything about eating after. Its his recommendation to stay on liquids for 24 hours then mushies for 24 hours onto solids after that. He said I can't eat 2 hours before a fill. Good luck.

i cant eat or drink 4 hours before a fill, please follow your surgeon's suggestions... everyone is different.

Every surgeon's instructions are different. Just remember to stick to room temp Water (if you drink anything) within an hour or so of the fill. Cold fluids make some people spasm a bit and you won't get an accurate fill.
