Stall last multiple months?

Recommended Posts

Hi there. I'm 8 months post-op and have been at the same weight for about 2 months. I workout everyday. Doing High Intensity Interval Training. I do meet my Protein goals most days and eat healthy with some cheats here and there. I've lost 67lbs. Wondering if a stall can last a few months. Or am I nearing the end of the weight loss. Thanks!

I find if I eat anything sweet I stall out. I had been having 1 scoop of frozen yogurt at night, wondered why I wasn't losing either. I think I saw someone wrote they stalled when they cheated. So I stopped eating anything I shouldn't be eating and went back to 2 shakes "Unjury" a day. I also keep my food intake down to protien and veggies. Had been also eating a lot of fruits. When I stopped that I started back up losing the weight!

Whether or not you are at the end of your weight loss is entirely up to you. How many calories and carbs are you eating each day? If you don't know, get religious about tracking for a couple of weeks so you can figure it out. I actually don't believe in the maxim "you can't manage what you don't measure" -- but I sure do when it comes to food intake and exercise and weight loss.

"Eating healthy with some cheats here and there" could absolutely result in you inadvertently putting yourself into maintenance mode. That's the way most normal people eat to maintain their weight, not to lose weight.

Thank you @@#9grammy

@@Bufflehead good point about the cheats. I didn't really think about that. I do track but I'm going to be more diligent about it. Thank you!

@@KristenLe I agree. I may need more Protein. And I definitely am not getting enough Water, something I'm working on.
