All I gotta say is HOLY MOLY!!!! I am so pleased with my progress to date. Went to my regular doc for a routine appt and everyone of the office staff remarked how much weight I had lost and that I looked GREAT. Even the doctor said "WOW!, you look great." Isn't that just the coolest thing?

Here are my 8 month anniversary pics. Compare them to my Sept pics as I don't have a pic beyond that since now. I will include a before pic as well so you have some reference too.

Good grief, Penni! You've got me crying. That is such awesome progress. Look at you in Sept. and then now! That's a huge difference! I can hear that bandster euphoria in your voice lately, too. Fantastic!

I am constantly overwhelmed at how much we have to be thankful for! :Bunny

Time for the truth girls: PENNI IS EVIL. She sent me a ton of Godiva Truffles. Duh, like my favorite food on earth. Evil, black, dark, rich chocolate, dipped in chocolate then sprinkled in chocolate. And while I'm at it, stay away from her Christmas Tree Decorating party cause it's just a ploy for her to steal your man and your children... here are pictures to prove it! That's MY man and MY furbabies!

You go girl. Isn't it the best feeling in the world. Sometimes I feel sorry for myself because I can't eat some of the foods I loved so much like a big fat burrito. Having to watch my husband eat it when I can barely do a bite. I can't do breads or tortilla's very well. But then I get on the scale or try on clothes and it's all so worth it.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
