MTWilliams 86 Posted August 15, 2016 Hello wonderful people....today I am starting my liquid diet. I am scheduled for the 29th of august. My surgeon requires that I lose or maintain my current weight but from what I have been reading I decided to take it upon myself to lose some visceral fat, especially around my liver. I have two cartons of chicken broth and have no clue what I'm doing. What were your liquid diets like? finding_onederland 226 Posted August 15, 2016 (edited) Did you receive a nutrition guide from your surgeon's office? This is what is on my list for the pre-op liquid phase, but every surgeon is different. May be worth a call to the office! Pre-op Liquid Phase (2 weeks prior to surgery) Water Decaf Coffee/Tea SF Jello SF Popsicles broth 1% Skim Milk LF Cottage cheese Light (RedCal) Yogurt Low Carb Protein shakes SF pudding No sugar added fudgesicles No sugar added hot choc LF Creamy Soups (strained) Tomato Soup Unsweetened applesauce Cream of wheat/oatmeal or grits (1x per day) Edited August 15, 2016 by finding_onederland
*Lexie* 1,486 Posted August 15, 2016 My pre-op diet was 2 Protein shakes and a healthy meal every day. Even with the one meal, that was a very tough 2 weeks. Good luck!

Much better than what they gave me. Sent from my SM-G530T using the BariatricPal App
