Unbridled 152 Posted August 14, 2016 I flew to FL for work last week; annual trip. I dreaded it for weeks ahead of time. I could not lift my luggage into the overhead bin. Someone had to help me. I could barely fasten the seat belt. I could NOT put the tray table down at all. The 12 yr old girl next to me saw my struggle and offered her tray table to set my Water on. I was so flippin embarrassed. All I could think is, "This time next year, this will not be such a struggle". I actually changed jobs because I used to travel a lot and I just couldn't stand it anymore! I would be so tired and felt beat up by the time I got to the hotel. I would get into the hotel room, turn the AC up full blast, jerk off my clothes, then lie down to rest before meeting my co-workers for dinner. I would cry having to contend with putting my clothes and bra back on to go down for dinner. This trip was no different. I'm so glad to be home to prepare for my surgery on August 30. @luvelye1101... yep I totally get it girl. Better days are ahead!

DaisyAmy 561 Posted August 14, 2016 It's such an amazing feeling the first time you fly after! I never needed an extender, but would be anxious about it each time. The tray table, the extra slack on the belt, being able to bend over to get things out of your bag, it's all amazing. Seriously the best NSV feeling in the world!! ImageUploadedByBariatricPal1471191671.008563.jpg I flew from California to halifax Canada almost in tears because every time I put my seat belt on I would push down on my fat just so I didn't have to ask for an extender. My husband was watching me and asked me if i wanted him to ask for one for me. I was so embarrassed and he probably was to. There was no more slack and I made it work some how. Undoing it felt like flinging a rubber band across my lap. Your legs look great by the way. And most of all congratulations on the seat belt slack. I also can't wait to be able to go on Rollercoaster without the anxiety and embarrassment of being kicked off for being too heavy Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App

Patchakc 45 Posted August 17, 2016 My thoughts exactly. I bring my own seatbelt extender just in case. The tray never goes all the way down. Every time I get upset about this pre op I think of things like that
