Other than plain Water and soda, what have you tried?

Have you tried different temperatures? Have you tried Water enhancers, infusions, teas, etc?

What Protein supplements have you tried?

Have you tried clear Protein supplements like Isopure, ProtiDiet liquid beverage concentrates, Syntrax nectar, etc?

The only case that I remember that is almost as extreme as yours is a woman who had her pouch sewn so incredibly small that she was eating thimble size meals. Many, many a day and still not able to get her daily volume in. Her hair was falling out. Her teeth were falling out. She was a wreck.

Back to basics. The three elements that are key are fluids, Vitamins and Protein. If you can tolerate Water, then meet you daily Fluid requirements with Water. Preferably filtered water, not tap water. Please keep experimenting until you solve these three. Your surgical team needs to be involved in solving your problems.

@@pdallariva

I would go back to the hospital and demand answers. If you had your surgery in June and still cannot eat or drink anything now, something is severely wrong and needs to be addressed.

This is definately a complication and they may need to put you on TPN. I am sorry this is happening to you but go now,.....you can die from dehydration.

@@pdallariva Have you been nauseated since the surgery? Or is it just recently and only when you try to eat?

@@pdallariva there are a lot of different things that could be causing the problems you are experiencing. Has the doctor that is treating you done blood work to check your Vitamin levels? If you have not seen a doctor other than your surgeon, I would see your regular doctor and see who they want to refer you to based on your symptoms. Its been long enough and you need to get to the bottom of what is really happening to you so that you can get appropriate treatment. Many things can cause nausea including Vitamin b1 deficiency and damage to your vagus nerve. You want to see someone who is going to take the time and do the necessary tests to get to the bottom of it. Good Luck to you!

Personally I would absolutely NOT wait until Monday. I would go now and tell them you are not leaving until they figure how what the hell is going on. This is not healthy nor normal.

I might even suggest finding a different Bariatric surgeon that can and will look for what is wrong.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
