Wendi's Chili or Panera's Tomato Basil

Does anyone know if you can have either of these during the blenderized period?

Not sure. I just used Nalleys canned. Not sure they would be much different.

I don't know why not as long as you blend the chili (it is a bit chunky). What does your program/NUT say?

Always fall back to what your NUT says, but I put a small chili in the blender and it was great!! I wasn't able to eat the whole thing though.

You can make chili at home in about 10 minutes. Why bother eating out when you don't know exactly what is in it?

The macros on the Panera Tomatoe basil are terrible, it is basically just empty calories unless you are adding Protein powder to it.

Weight loss and maintenance is a lot easier if you cook. If you are not preparing your food you really have no idea what you are eating.

Do you have a favorite chili recipe, and if so, will you share? :-)

brown a pound of ground beef, or turkey in a skillet, heavy bottom is better. Drain the fat

add a tablespoon of this https://www.penzeys.com/online-catalog/chili-3000/c-24/p-73/pd-s (most store chili seasoning has sugar in it)

Add a can of chili Beans http://www.bushbeans.com/en_US/product/mild-kidney-chili-Beans

Add a can of diced tomatoes Like https://www.delmonte.com/tomatoes/diced/green-pepper-and-onion so you don't have to chop

Simmer for at least 30 minutes on low so the flavors meld

I don't eat chili because the macros don't make sense for me, but that is the fastest and easiest way to make and you can have a child do it. It doesn't require a lot of chopping or active cooking.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
