I'm not sure what you are allowed, but I was allowed a daily cup of strained, low-fat cream Soup, like Healthy Choice. I don't normally eat this kind of Soup (and actually thought it sounded gross), but I found it helped me feel fuller, and the texture and warmth were helpful, too. Because I don't normally eat this kind of soup, it didn't trigger any cravings, like for Ritz crackers!

AUGUST 15th? You can do this!! TWO DAYS and you'll be restarting your life, finding a whole new package for the you that lives inside! Keep drinking your no-calorie liquids. Have you tried the no-sugar, no-cal MiO drops to add to Water, or the "drink-sticks", so you get a variety of flavors? And don't forget the sugar free popsicles and sugar free jello! These were both allowed on my all-liquid diet and it sure felt good to have something to chew!!

Hang tough!! You can do this!!

Yeah I been having my Popsicle. I didn't even think of the mio mix. The only thing that sucks is limited energy with a two year old. We are staying home this weekend. I know I got this the light of the tunnel is almost here. Thanks for the suggestion. I forgot about those @leebick.

Well done !!!

I know it sucks, but it'll be a breeze once you are post-op.

The pre-op diet is all about you taking action to ensure your safety during the surgery. It's a great way to flex your willpower muscles. You can do it. Enjoy the amplified rate of weight loss you'll be seeing near the end of this 14 days. It's awesome.

Just wait.....those other muscles will be emerging in the months ahead as you burn off the unwanted fat.

It gets much, much easier. You are just having to do the hardest part now.....at the beginning.

Stick with it and have no regrets. You'll feel better on the day of your surgery, I promise. You'll bebop in there ready to rock 'n roll and be highly confident knowing the you've done your part.

Keep flexing those willpower muscles and profit from this.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
