Have you guys watched this episode ofSean, the heaviest man in the world. 919lbs. Omg, i hate watching this because i complain about the 100 lbs i have to lose while these people have been trapped in a body truly of their making . Dr.naw, is looking like wth. And the growths that they have. I count myself on the luck side.

Watching My 600 Pound life was an important step for me to be brutally honest with myself about my weight and health. Unfortunately, I was just one diet away if being eligible to be on that show. Much of what the people on the show experienced due to their weight is not unfamiliar to me.

Now, each time I see an episode, what stands out to me changes depending on where I am in my own journey.

With all of its flaws, watching My 600 Pound Life has been a very important part of my journey.

My Big Fat Fabulous Life, although infuriating, has also been enlightening.

I totally agree. It's very important to never forget your past, and how easily the past can be repeated. I refuse to utter the words "such and such pounds lost forever!" No forever is ever guaranteed.

I see myself in every 600+ patient. It doesn't matter that my highest weight was 248. I am them and they are me. We all required surgical intervention in the end.

Complacency is the fast track to failure.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
