How Long Did it Take For Your Insurance to Process Claims for Your Surgery?

Recommended Posts

I've been waiting for my insurance to process the claims for my surgery which was a month ago. I know they were submitted, because I can see them on the cigna website, but they just say 'processing'. Problem is, I paid my deductible to the surgeon in a deposit for the surgery. I have other claims coming in and they are being processed and saying I owe for my deductible when it has already been paid. Its a real pain. I need to have a synvisc gel shot in my knee. Its over $700 if I haven't met my deductible, so I am waiting until my insurance has processed my surgeons bill to set an appointment to have my knee shot. Did it take much longer than a month for your insurance to pay/process claims associated with your surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?
