rebcal 32 Posted August 11, 2016 Hey guys. I'm about 5 months post op gastric sleeve and just got home from the hospital after removing my gallbladder. I had extreme pain in my lower right abdomen all weekend and went to the hospital on Monday to see my surgeon turns out my gallbladder was inflamed and filled with stones. My doctor told me it happens after rapid weight loss. Since I lost 65 lbs in 5 months , it makes sense that that would be the cause. I just want to know if this happened to anyone else? The recovery of this surgery is WAY more severe and painful. I feel horrible all the time all day. Anyone else going through or went through the same? marrse 30 Posted August 11, 2016 I had my gallbladder removed when I was 19. I'm 37 and having the sleeve done Sept. 13th. My surgeon says it's common for the gallbladder to be removed after this wls. Congrats on 65 in 5! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

ssflbelle 829 Posted August 11, 2016 I had lost 145 pounds on m own before my first meeting with the surgeon. I knew I had gall stones and told him so, so he took mine out the day of my sleeve surgery as well as a hernia repaired. Three surgeries in one day for me.
