Qwalla 132 Posted August 10, 2016 Hi i had my sleeve surgery 2 weeks ago today. I am getting in all my fluids, Protein Shakes Water and sodium and Vitamins. Is it normal to not have much energy? I start mushy food in a week and does that make a difference? Thanks for your input. I am also getting headaches pretty regularly. Any ideas? Bufflehead 6,358 Posted August 10, 2016 Yes, it is perfectly normal to be exhausted for several weeks after major surgery. Be gentle with yourself.
justhere4theshow 462 Posted August 10, 2016 I was exhausted for several weeks. I had headaches also but never figured out why (may have been dehydration). I have stopped having them now. I don't know that advancing your diet will necessarily make the fatigue any better, but it does seem to get better with time. Just be careful not to overdo it. cdsjjotn 516 Posted August 10, 2016 My low energy was due to low B12. That was the 3 month mark when I had my lab work done. At 2 weeks you are still recovering from surgery, rest helps and yes you will start to feel more energetic the more you heal Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
