Let'sdothis 0 Posted August 10, 2016 My husband and I are starting the process together. We are thinking we'll have better success if we do it together. Are there any couples that have done this? IttyBit 33 Posted August 10, 2016 I had my surgery July 2015 and my husband will have his December of this year. I definitely think it's a good idea to have the surgeries at the same time or at least close together. At first it wasn't hard to resist the temptations he occasionally subjected me to, but after about 6 months, When I started getting hunger pangs again, it became more of a challenge. As a matter of fact, just last night he brought home a pint of Ben & Jerry's. When he does that I tell him he's not being very supportive. I think you all are making a good decision to do it together

Loudy227 96 Posted August 10, 2016 I had my surgery 6/22/16 and my husband is scheduled for this Monday. We left some time for me to fulky recover, but we are going through this together, same surgery (DS) and surgeon. I originally had come to the decision, but he immediately said he should do it too. I just made it clear that he had to make his own decision for himself, not to make it easier for me or that it would be easier if we both did the same diet/surgery. I think it would be extremely hard on us if only one of us did this, however. We are both looking forward to our new selves and planning trips for the next few years. Disney World, the Bahamas, and more.
