I had the audacity to suggest that someone who was craving cheez-its while on the soft foods part of their program try REAL cheese instead. Cuz you know, real food, healthy fat, not a processed carb is clearly bullsh!t and nonsense when you are comparing it to CHEEZ-its.

The nerve of you to make a suggestion of a healthy, appropriate post WLS diet phase alternative food choice.

A dozen lashings to you with a cat o' nine tails made from spaghetti squash strands! :)

You are eating ...Pasta? ...Alfredo Sauce?

LET THE GAMES BEGIN. "Lucy, you need to do some 'splainin' to the food police".

(I'll just sit back, wait and eat some microwavable popcorn then will follow it up with a diet caffeinated soda through a straw, 30 minutes after :))

Coming up on 6 years since surgery, consider myself 110% successful (living the new life) and if I were to give a report as to what I eat, (and drink) and how much on a daily basis, I'm sure I would be BANNED from this forum....

Let's keep it all warm and fuzzy....

Yes, I noticed that you took one on the chin for the cheese instead of Cheezits comment. Most of us know it was sage advice.

You can point out where the Water is, but not everyone is going to drink. Well if they can't take a hint or a joke F them. Wait, that isn't warm and fuzzy is it?

Bigger question: Why am I commenting on a thread about idiot comments?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
