I was told I couldn't eat salads. I'm 6 weeks out and have been scared to try. Does anyone who's 6 months or more out have problems or is it just another " some people do and some people don't". I felt being "stuck" last night for the first time and believe me I won't try anything that I knowingly know that could get me stuck. I also lost 26 lbs. in 3 1/2 weeks and am stuck. Has anyone gone on a "diet" after being banded? What's the trick to get the scale to move?

Hi angel,

I assume you have not had a fill yet?

I don't have a problem with lettuce and Tomato. I' am 4 months out. Lettuce actually goes down pretty well. I actually order salad in a restaurant. Everyone is different though. The lettuce is the easty part, its the toppings that can get you.

You could have a problem with the salad "toppings" if they are too heavy. I have a problem with raw carrots, onions, peppers (spicy veggies). A chef salad with meats would be hard to tolerate.

I eat salad all the time. I use spinach leaves though instead of

lettuce. I don't have any trouble with salad of any kind.

Just make sure you chew very well though. Like anything else,

you have to chew until there is nothing left to chew.

I have 1 or 2 salads a day. I only have about 1/2 cup spinach leaves in each with a few peppers and it goes down just fine and I am only 8 weeks out. I do the spinach because I think it taste alot better
