soccergirl09 52 Posted August 9, 2016 I'm a month and 2 days after surgery and today I hit 20 lbs weight loss. This has been the most frustrating and rewarding process all in one. It's weird bc it seems like it's been months. I was wondering if someone else struggled with being healthy. I have been sick for over two weeks. I've had this cold that just won't go away. My throat is on fire. I was wondering if it's from the lack of calories. Immune system being down. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Loudy227 96 Posted August 9, 2016 I got a cold four days after surgery. I was miserable for over a week. Thankfully when I recovered I got my energy back. Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
soccergirl09 52 Posted August 9, 2016 That's the issue I'm having too. Zero energy. I already had no energy from the lack of calories. A cold on top of it and I'm struggling. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
UpandAtom 126 Posted August 9, 2016 The energy will come back. For me I think it was around six weeks. I felt good otherwise but the low energy periods are tough. Try to work through it and stay active as you can. If you need to sleep, sleep. Your body is going through a huge adjustment. Once it learns to burn fat for energy, you will feel much better! I felt like a champ by two months. Also, be sure you are taking your Vitamins and getting in your protein!
northcountyr1 199 Posted August 9, 2016 Not trying to sound cocky, I had mine 2 weeks ago yesterday and I feel great. This is the first surgery I've ever had. No pain, no pain meds and I'm walking every day. Hope ya'll start feeling allot better soon. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using the BariatricPal App
soccergirl09 52 Posted August 9, 2016 Recovering from the surgery was great. But I just can't shake this cold. Plus I basically took zero time off from work Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

reducer623 137 Posted August 10, 2016 Your body is going through a transformation. The prolong sickness may be a result of the surgery & your body trying to adjust. The human body is a tricky mechanism. Congrats on you loss & I wish you a speedy recovery! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
