Auntie74 4 Posted August 9, 2016 Surgery finally came this morning! Overall I'm doing well. No nausea just this horrible stomach cramping which I believe it s the has everyone has talked about! I've been sitting up since about 5:30 EST and been walking. I know the road ahead will be though but looking forward to the journey.
Djmohr 6,965 Posted August 9, 2016 @@Auntie74 Congratulations! Glad to hear you are doing well. The gas they use is what is likely causing those cramps. As you know, walking, sipping, and heat packs. They must have brought me 100 of them over two nights and three days in the hospital. Once I got home I used a heating pad but while you are resting it really does help. I also found getting out of bed even if it was sitting in the recliner in my hospital room really really helped me get rid of that gas faster. Also once your bowels start producing gas that pain can get worse so ask for gas X strips or tablets. It will help with that gas pain. I wish you a safe and speedy recovery! Auntie74 4 Posted August 9, 2016 @"Djmohr" thank you! I got the green light to start drinking so I'm sipping away and walking. Thank God I haven't been nauseous! Gas is getting better also. Slow and steady I go.
