Fatigue with the Balloon?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone experienced extreem fatigue after having the balloon placed? I am 3+ weeks out and struggling with extreem fatigue. I am sleeping 12-15 hours a day. I am getting my Water and Protein in and I don't think I am depressed and my bloodwork is good. If you have experienced fatigue, has any doctor explained why? I see with some of the gastric surgeries a lot of people expierence fatigue, but has anyone experienced it for a couple of weeks or more with the balloon?

Yes! And it continues 3 months for me. But here's why: the vomiting never got under control until yesterday with the addition of raglan absorbers. As a result my blood pressure tanked and I was dehydrated. I'm on the upswing now. Lost weight too fast. Should slow down with those issues under control.

I meant Reglan and Promethazine

No problem with fatigue, my problem is hunger, and I'm always hungry. I sure didn't expect to be really hungry with the balloon occupying 1/3 of my stomach.

I thought the same thing. I was not hungry until like day 5 but then I was famished until around day 14. Increasing my calories and Protein helped a lot. Do you think you're getting enough?

It's very possible I'm not eating enough. I haven't lost any weight since the first week so my mind is telling me to stop eating. Yesterday and today I have eaten More so we shall see what happens. Hunger feels different with the balloon, I get sick to my stomach. How about you!
