Ldybg8879 13 Posted October 18, 2016 Had my surgery yesterday. Just now going home, because the surgeon was.l concerned that I might have a small leak. Had to wait until I had a X-ray done and then drink before I could go home. I went so long without anything to drink at all, from Sunday night to about 1:00 today. It was awful! But thankfully no leak and I'm in the car on the way home now.

tanyamann32 84 Posted October 19, 2016 I went on October 10th for my mini gastric bypass and came out of surgery in excruciating. To make a long story short I was rushed back into emergency surgery where I had a hernia repaired and a bleeding ulcer that had filled my abdomen up with blood. After the second surgery I felt better but was still in pain and totally exhausted. I came home yesterday October 17th and I lost 10 kilograms. Right now I am able to drink liquids. I am moving slowly but I am still moving. I wanted to share this experience because if I had not verbalized the pain to the Dr's and staff I do not know what would have happened. I am excited for the future and am now on the looser bench. It is getting better everyday. Sent from my SM-P550 using the BariatricPal App

Serena89 9 Posted October 20, 2016 Good luck to all of you from someone who was in a group like this last October! It was invaluable to me to have a lot of us going through the same things at the same time. 10 months later and I am at goal - this will become your stories, too. Again, best wishes to each and every one of you. Just keep your eye on the goal; it is well worth it!How much did you lose to get to your goal weight? tanyamann32 84 Posted October 20, 2016 I had complications after mini gastric bypass surgery on October 10th but am home and doing better each day. My stables were removed today and I was able to walk with a little less pain. Still on pain medicine and feeling bloated but was in the hospital for 7 days on continous Intavenous drip. Looking forward to the future. Sent from my SM-P550 using the BariatricPal App

Travelher 915 Posted October 20, 2016 Had my sleeve done yesterday, please tell me the pain gets better with each passing day Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App I had bypass and found i didn't need the painkillers after day 2. not sure if it is different depending on the type of surgery. i was up walking within hours of my surgery and at least every hour on day 2. I think it helped with the gas which is the worst part and the cause of most of the pain.
