October 27th can't come fast enough for me.

My birthday is the 20th, so I'm happy I only have a one week liquid diet. LOL

@@4ukay1 I am on day 7 of my pre op liquid diet and I haven't had headaches in a few days. Some hunger here and there but it is easily solved by a spoonful or two of Greek yogurt. I'm Oct 3 as well.

I'm on day 7 as well. Not allowed yogurt only liquid. My headaches went away after 3 days but I feel hot yet clammy throughout the day and body muscle soreness may not even be related but other than that and my cheat w a plain veg only small salad and 2oz of chicken I feel pretty good

@@4ukay1 @@MindyMe @@coastergirl @@Sherbear2 For those on liquid-only diets, do you know how many calories you're having per day? I have been meaning to download an app to start tracking that but haven't done it yet.

Are you on a drinking schedule or just whenever you're hungry?

I use My Fitness Pal, which can be free, but if you want to micromanage (macromanage?) your nutrients, you need to pay either $10 a month, or $50 for the year. Personally, I chose a year, as it's $70 a year cheaper than paying monthly.

My dietician said vegetables and bouillon are ok. Just made a garlicky puréed zucchini Soup. So good. I'm gonna be able to do this. Found the recipe on Pinterest. Just did a search under bariatric and found lots of recipes.< /p>

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
