Lilted28 15 Posted August 8, 2016 I was sleeved on July 18th and every since I have had problems with nausea. At first I would get nauseous before I go to bed or I would wake up in the middle of the night nauseous, but now I'm experiencing it at night and in the morning when I get up. Sometimes I vomit, but mostly I just dry heave because there is nothing in my stomach to throw up. My doctor has prescribed transdermal nausea Patches and zofran but it's still happening. Anyone else going through this or have been through this? I would appreciate any suggestions as to what I could do to decrease the nausea? KristenLe 5,979 Posted August 8, 2016 Are you taking a PPI for stomach acid? If not - I wonder if that would help. Hope you feel better - nausea is horrible.
Lilted28 15 Posted August 8, 2016 Yes I have a prescription for omperazole (Prilosec) 40 mg. I take it every day. Maybe I need something stronger. I'll contact my doctor tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
KristenLe 5,979 Posted August 8, 2016 Do you take it before bed? Maybe changing when you take it will help.
kmorri 1,689 Posted August 8, 2016 The PPI was going to be my suggestion as well and I think changing when you take it, is worth a try. I hope you start to feel better soon!!
Lilted28 15 Posted August 9, 2016 Second night in the row I've thrown up my medicines. I think I might be dehydrated. Going to try contacting my doctor again Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
