Ok, I want to do a pin up type photo shoot. Should I wait until I am at goal or now to help me break free from this fat girl mentality??

Am I ready for this??

Also, check out this photographer and tell me what you all think! IS he good enough??

Whether you are fat or thin, you need to start loving yourself this very second. You need to know that you are beautiful no matter what a number on the scale says. You need to do nice things for yourself like manicures/pedicures, wear cute clothes, make plans with friends, buy something extravagent once in a while, etc. Treasure yourself and it is much easier to lose weight. I say take the glam pictures now and at goal.

As a photographer myself, I say do it now and later. Those will be priceless memories you will always want to remember!

Additionally, this pinup style is pretty neat. I do mostly weddings and families but I think I may start doing some of this!

If there is anyone here in the Little Rock, Arkansas area that would like some of these done, let me know. I can take the pictures for free since they will be for my portfolio.

If you are interested send me a pm.

I'm in the Kansas City area and after seeing BooBoo's thread would love to give this a try as well. If any of you photographers are in this area and would give me a discount give me a PM.

I'd also be more than happy to do some of this stuff free for my lapband sistas!

We need to talk! I would love to do this with you, but also if you are thinking of expanding your business, there is a pin up company that looks for women photographers to do pin up work. GREAT PAY! I want to do it someday, but you must have a pin up portfolio already! You could build it here and then get some $$ by doing it!

PM me!

I'm excited for you!! I've always wanted to do something like this. Maybe as a gift for DH, I'll set up something like this. But it'll be awhile. I'm not even banded yet

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
