amartyn1 74 Posted August 5, 2016 hi , surgery was a week ago on Friday July 29th . The only pain I have is from the incision and scope hole from were they removed my band and port. I am walking around , using a pillow for support and an ice pack to help with the pain but does anyone else have any tips or tricks to help with this ? I would greatly appreciate it
Djmohr 6,965 Posted August 7, 2016 For me a heating pad really helped me instead of ice. And of course......walking and lots of Water to flush everything out of your system. I hope things get better soon.
hobbes13rn 8 Posted August 9, 2016 I am a huge fan of the abdominal binder- it offers similar support as your pillow, but less fuss with it, just put it on and go. Sent from my LG-H900 using the BariatricPal App
Hippie72 23 Posted August 15, 2016 Yeah am looking for tips and length of stay with pain as medications prescribed to me make me feel more unwell. I have the binder and a JP drain and try to move as much as I can. Ideas on how long I will be uncomfortable would be great I know that the healing is different for everyone.
