anewmee 16 Posted August 3, 2016 (edited) My dietician has given me advice to eat Protein rich low fat meals with veggies after 10 days of balloon placement. She said wet foods/meals are ideal. Any ideas? Spag bol is one and my low fat curry. Anyone know any websites with free recipes? EDIT: in terms of spag bol I mean the sauce on top of shredded veg. Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted August 4, 2016 In my program, spaghetti would not be a good choice. Meatballs without spaghetti or Pasta would. Choose a low fat Protein (turkey, tuna, fish, etc.), use a lowfat gravy or sauce to make it moist, and add a non-starchy vegetable. The World According to Eggface is a great source of recipes. smg 471 Posted August 4, 2016 (edited) If "wet" foods are allowed, I would look for some Protein rich Soups and things like that. There are some good recipes on here and also on WLSHub and I would also check out the normal sites for Soups and other recipes that work for you like skinnytaste or allrecipes, etc. Edit: You could also find some recipes that you like and add unflavored Protein powder as well...just a thought. Best of luck! Edited August 4, 2016 by smg
Djmohr 6,965 Posted August 4, 2016 One of my favorite dishes after bypass was chicken cacciatore. The low fat marinara sauce makes the chicken nice and moist. I chose to add green peppers, mushrooms, onions and even some carrots to the sauce. No Pasta though I would make taco meet with 90% ground beef, ground chicken or ground turkey and eat that with low fat cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and black olives.< /p> I would sauté chicken breast with healthy request cream of mushroom Soup. Add a side of steamed veggies. Any kind of seafood: shrimp sautéed in olive oil with lemon And my favorite - stir fry made with a small amount of olive oil, chicken, beef or shrimp, cauliflower, carrots, sugar snap peas, onion, mushroom. Whatever veggies you like and homemade stir fry sauce there are many recipes on Pinterest. I don't use any bottled or packaged stuff with the exception of marinara sauce or cream of mushroom Soup.< /p> There are tons of Bariatric recipes on Pinterest. Ever since my RNY, I go to Pinterest and rework recipes to fit my needs. It's a lot of fun and the food is awesome too.

Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted August 4, 2016 For me, chicken can be too dry so I tend to choose darker meat chicken. Plain skinless, boneless breasts tend to be D-R-Y even with sauce.
