suesmithwhippet 4 Posted August 29, 2016 All surgeons protocols are different. Mine is, only animal based Proteins (no dairy based, cheese, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt) no veggies, no grains, until we have lost 75% of the excess weight we need to lose. 2twinkle 86 Posted August 29, 2016 Yes veggies have Protein, too. Would it take a truckload to get in your daily requirement? When I was in my puree stage, I stoically at 3 meals a day and did my Protein drinks. I felt like a stuffed sausage. I complained to my docs"Why do I have to eat SO MUCH? I feel like I am bursting!" They said a Protein shake = a meal. And, if I am full, just stop eating. That's been working much better for me, and I love trusting my body to know what it needs.
