triplethreat 257 Posted August 2, 2016 I went to a post op patient meet up and was talking with a lady. She was saying that she gained 2 lbs in a day and was worried this was the start of a stall. Would someone gain weight on a stall? If someone seemed to gain 2 lbs in a day would that be Water? Trying to understand the terminology. KristenLe 5,979 Posted August 2, 2016 @@triplethreat It would have to be Water. It's not possible for her to gain 2 lbs of fat in a day. It is most likely water retention (could have not had enough fluids, too much sodium, TOM, etc).
Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted August 2, 2016 Out of context, who knows. Short-term weight fluctuations are usually related to Water retention, Constipation, hydration/dehydration etc. Another excellent reason not to weigh frequently.
