LA_lady 50 Posted August 2, 2016 Hi all. I'm on the puréed stage and so excited to make the ricotta bake but isn't the Tomato sauce too acidic for our tummies? I've had Tomato Soup but it just occurred to me that tomatoes are very acidic. Thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Clarevoyant 347 Posted August 2, 2016 It really is so very little in one serving. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Mcsleevy 8 Posted August 2, 2016 I made it tonite. It is very tasty, but the first bite took a minute to go down. Once the cheese overtook the Tomato acid it was all good.
melbell2222 244 Posted August 2, 2016 I would think it's more greasy as iv only seen pictures. I'll have to try someday Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
NewLA 31 Posted August 2, 2016 I didn't find mine greasy all. It was really tasty. I don't even like marina sauce that much and I Highly enjoyed this soft, high Protein meal. And it was filling Sent from my SM-G920T using the BariatricPal App
daniotra 298 Posted August 2, 2016 It's not greasy. I used low fat ricotta and mozzarella. You'll only eat a couple ounces of it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
cindyw41 761 Posted August 2, 2016 I loved it during my mushy phase. Didn't have any issues. I can't eat it now at 7 months out mainly because my taste have changed, I don't like the Italian seasoning now. Crazy
smg 471 Posted August 3, 2016 I think every food is different depending on the person, but I didn't find it too acidic or greasy at all. In fact, it was the best thing I had during the soft food phase. I'm well into regular food now and I'd be lying if I said I didn't still make it once in a while Use low-fat/part skim cheese. You won't be able to eat much. A good test would be to take a single bite, wait a few minutes to see how your sleeve accepts it. If you have any reflux or reaction to it, just don't eat it. Best of luck!
