Hi Everyone.

I got my 2nd fill yesterday. So far I can feel the difference in restriction. The first fill didnt last long, no more than a few days but I was told to expect that. Anyhow since yesterdays fill I've noticed that when I eat meat that i'm full after about 3 oz. Today I had some refried Beans for a change and I was able to eat around 7 or so oz. Perhaps it was even more. Would this be normal?

My main question would be is it normal to feel odd aches and pain in your chest area. I also get aches/pains in my left shoulder. The aches/pains seem to come on quick and sudden and then are gone. Sometimes after I eat I get a sharp pain under my left breast, when this happens if i'll get up and walk around i'll end up burping a few times and that pain goes away, its the other aches/pains that concern me. Of course being overweight I cant help but to be concerned that the pains could be from my heart. I had a heart study before my lap band and was given the "go ahead". Anyhow are these aches/pains normal?

Yep, you sound normal to me. chicken is way more dense than refried Beans so I can eat considerably more of softer foods than I can solid Proteins.

Although I wouldn't say it's normal to have actual "pain" a lot but yes, I also can experience different sensations following eating if I've eaten too quickly or too much. Actual pain might be something to mention to your doctor if it bothers you.

I get the shoulder one all the time, and the one beneath my left breast less frequently. The general aches in the chest/stomach area for me are often relieved by something like gas-x. It's weird, but it works.

Soft things you will definitely be able to eat more of than more solid things. As a general rule, you should it the solid stuff first, then veggies, and then if you have room, carbs and whatnot. :huggie:

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
