YAY! It's working! LOL.

I told my surgeon at my consult that my goal weight was 160, but I've since decided I want to shoot for less than that. We shall see. I don't really want to aim for numbers, but what looks and feels right for my body.

Thank you but I thought that I would lose more. I went to one of my other drs on 8/1, I weighed 312 they said that last time I was there on 7/1 I weighed 342 now on today I weigh 316. What is going on? Am I doing something wrong?

Y'all are doing amazing.

HW at start of 6 month supervised diet 1/14/16 268.9

Pre op diet start 246.8

Day of surgery 7/6/16 sleeved 232.4

CW: 216.4

It has been slow. At times I feel it isn't working. I know I don't get enough Water or Protein in. It is hard to think of what to eat (picky or sounds good) and then I think I eat too fast.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
