marmsphil 2 Posted August 1, 2016 (edited) Hi everyone, I'm concerned, for the past 2 weeks, I didn't lose any weight and I'm always in pain after I eat, any suggestions or advise??? I omit to mention that I had my surgery only 7 weeks ago. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Edited August 1, 2016 by marmsphil
James Marusek 5,244 Posted August 1, 2016 Stalls are so common that someone here coined the phrase "Embrace the Stall". Just meet your daily Protein, Fluid, and Vitamin requirements; walk about 30 minutes per day [or equivalent exercise]; follow the meal plan you were given by the surgeon's office and let the magic happen. The pain that you are experiencing at 7 weeks post-op could be due to a stricture or the manner in which you eat. At around 7 weeks I transitioned into solid foods. That transition can be difficult. Solid foods (such as steak) can be more difficult to eat than softer foods (chili and soups). Therefore I relied heavily on softer foods at this stage. There is nothing that says you need to speed up your transition to solids. Just give your stomach a little more time to heal. Also it is very important with solid foods to chew, chew, chew. RJC5197 282 Posted August 1, 2016 I agree with James Marusek Stalls are so common that someone here coined the phrase "Embrace the Stall". I am 10 weeks out and just got out of my second one that lasted 3 weeks. My shape keeps getting smaller, and I feel better, just the weight loss is stop and go. I have learned to take it as part of the long term process, and now sweat the short term scale.
