What trouble are you having? Just don't like the flavor of are they causing nausea or stomach issues

My best advice is try lots of different brands and types--ready made, powder etc. some LOVE premier Protein, I can't stand them. I like the texture of powder mixed with Water, many find it gritty and gross.

Try with milk, almond milk, Water, etc. try shake like ones (premier, Syntrax matrix) and juice like ones (Syntrax nectar, Isopure in the glass bottles) try coffee like ones like chike and click.

Keep trying till you find one you like!

You can also add flavorings like sugar free Torani syrups, sugar free cocoa powder, sugar free Jello pudding mixes, PB2 (defatted powdered peanut butter).

Try blending with ice, try room temp, try poured over ice (my favorite). Try using more liquid than it calls for or even adding liquid to a pre made one for a different thickness/texture.

Experiment!

The Nashua Nutrition website sells single serving envelopes of every brand and flavor they carry good way to try some.

If it's stomach issues, try lactose free. A lot of people (me included) have issues with lactose intolerance early out even if they didn't before. Went away for me in about 4-6 weeks.

I had to add extra Water to mine. I don't like sweets so the two weeks on Protein shakes was long. I mixed them with Decaf instant coffee, and with single serving Crystal Light.

Unjury has packets also to try, I'm 1 1/2 yrs out and still have a shake when my protien is down. They also have non flavored powder and you actually don't taste or smell it. I will cool my coffee down to 120 degrees and put the vanilla in my coffee. Mainly I use milk to mix it.

It is pricey but I don't like the premier protien anymore, can't tolerate chocolate in anything so I use strawberry in with vanilla for a shake. I did buy a chicken Soup canister of it just haven't tasted it yet. Good Luck

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
