beyondgrief 93 Posted July 29, 2016 I have a pilonidal cyst that's been present for almost 20 years that will randomly flare up or get hot and painful at the mark of some trauma or major sitting. As a result of my surgery it's all inflamed and painful -- it's swelled off my back. I've been taking tylenol to try and help but all it does it make it less painful. I know we can't take NSAIDS but are there any other anti-inflammatory meds I could ask my doctor permission to take to help? If I can get it less "angry" it will eventually subside. Thanks. deerjay 24 Posted July 30, 2016 My doctor says that it's ok to take Advil liquigels and wash them down with warm liquids so they're not in your pouch for very long.
