I'm right there with you from the date of surgery to the diet. I've lost the weight while trying to stick to it but cheated here and there. But past couple days I've done great

Thanks girl!! Today was definitely my better day. Only problem I'm having is being obsessed with the scale lol I lost 11.3 pounds since the day of surgery and I can't wait to see the number going lower and lower. I haven't been under 250 in a long time

I'm scheduled to get sleeved on Sept. 19th. So excited (and nervous)!

My schedule date is 9/19. I pray I can detox my liver. I haven't lost any weight. I'm in my PreOp liquid diet right now. I was very hungry yesterday and ended up eating some low fat popcorn. Ugh. Today I'm suffering from a headache. I'm having the DS sleeve. I had the lapband 11 years ago and it didn't work at all.

I had sleeve surgery yesterday. Slight nausea for a couple hours after surgery; otherwise a little soreness in my belly and that's it. Slight tightness in chest from gas but it went away fast. No problems walking. Just got home and I feel really good.

@@Gerri918 You have to be very careful not to have carbs during the pre-op diet. The purpose is to put you into ketosis so that you burn fat from your liver - it's not only about losing weight. Stay strong and stick with your diet - I've seen people have surgery cancelled (that day) because their liver was still too large.

Hi Everybody!

I'm scheduled for 9/19/16, and just started my liquid diet today.

My goal is to lose 88 - 93 lbs....and hopefully be able to stop using my CPAP and get off some of my meds (HBP & pre-diabetic)

I am so glad I found this site, it's been good hearing other peoples' stories and how the journey has been for them :)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
