Frenchie1977 262 Posted July 27, 2016 I just made the decision to have the surgery last week and I have my informational seminar the day after tomorrow, upon making the decision I was forever on the internet reading everything I could find about the surgery. Now I seem to be glued to these forums, it's all I want to do

AmiLou 41 Posted July 27, 2016 I went to my local hospital Bariatric Support group for three monthly meetings before deciding to have the surgery. It's a good learning place, as are the forums. You may want to ask your doctor if they have support groups too? I have experienced a lot of problems with indigestion, learned that I was lactose intolerant during the liquid diet, and have been dehydrated a couple of times BUT I am convinced that it is well worth it and these were minor inconveniences. I have never lost this much weight in a short period of time on my own. Good luck!
rebecca wills 190 Posted July 27, 2016 Doing what I did, I watched surgery too on You-tube. It helped me visualize. Good for you! Let the doctor know that you have been reading and been on this forum. It will show them this is something your getting mentally prepared for. Hang in there, read read read! Ask questions!
