elo402 30 Posted July 26, 2016 Hi all, I'm almost 4 months post op from my sleeve. My SW was 210, and I am down to 175 currently and am 5 4. I keep fluctuating 172-177. I am in a huge stall. :'( My goal is 135.... And I am really getting discouraged. I work out, eat well, and get my fluids in.... And no matter what I do, the scale keeps giving me the finger. I need some ideas of what to do bc I haven't moved the scale in a month and a half!!! I've tried eating carbs, going periods of time not working out... NOTHING is working. I even tried a detox cleanse! I'm at a total loss of what to do. To put the icing on the cake, I will have lost 100# total from my highest at 169.... So I'm even more furious about not moving the scale. Please help this desperate chick! Any ideas or suggestions are welcome! Thank you all in advance and I hope you are all kickin ass and taking names in your journeys.
SuperDave 1,115 Posted July 26, 2016 Just relax and follow your plan. Really. Your weight loss will start again as long as you are doing what you should be. I went through several stalls in the year after surgery, including one that lasted 2 months. I really thought I was done at that point, but I went on to lose another 40 pounds. Don't worry, you have got this!
NeedaBreak4Me 1,755 Posted July 26, 2016 Have you tried increasing your calories? What is a typical day of food and exercise?
elo402 30 Posted July 26, 2016 Breakfast I have Protein Shake when I first wake up, the half hour later eggs or a Protein Bar, lunch I'll eat shrimp or tuna and veggies, supper I usually grill something and veggies.... And depending on if I hit my Protein I will have another shake or bar. Exercise... Yesterday for example i. Rowed, did kettlebells, elliptical for 30 minutes, did 5 miles on my bicycle, and a t25 cardio video. I've done 30 miles on my bicycle before in one day.... Rollerblading, free weights, bow flex. Try skipping the Protein Bars (many are high in fats and carbs) and have protein rich food (tuna, cheese stick, chicken, greek yogurt, hummus, cottage cheese). You may need to have 5-6 small meals to get enough protein and calories. Stay strong!
GourmetH20 55 Posted July 25, 2017 Hey! Did you think you mught be gaining muscle to replace the fat your losing? I was all in working out but once I focused on just cardio for 2 months I lost 37lbs!BACK ON TRACK! And that was after a 3 month stall that ALMOST had me back to emotional eating...paging Dr. Little Debbie...I had to stop the other exercises. I have an in ground pool so swimming laps were soooooo helpful. Don't get bent. It's still all new for your head, body and energy to embrace so balance them all, find your peace and don't stress. You are already on the better path. Sometimes it looks like a mountain when it's just a little bump!
