AndyNicks 3 Posted July 25, 2016 I don't know the root cause of why my legs are so sore. I walk my 15-20 minutes a day (slow pace) (sometimes more). Over the course of the last week though my legs feel like they have been running in a marathon and I really have to be careful going up stairs getting in and out my car etc. I drink about 2 16 oz bottles of Poland Spring Water plus a 12 oz Diet Snapple throughout the Day, plus a small cup of coffee. Am I getting enough fluids? It takes me so damn long to drink a bottle of water now. I see my surgeon Thursday for my one month follow up. I've been going weekly since my surgery date. (6/27). Clarevoyant 347 Posted July 25, 2016 To me that does not seem like enough Fluid, especially considering the Snapple and coffee have caffeine. My doc said caffeine is ok but not at the expense of meeting my non caffeinated liquid target. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
KristenLe 5,979 Posted July 25, 2016 @@AndyNicks I don't think that's enough fluids. Try drinking something with electrolytes. Depending on what stage you are on - get in some potassium (banana). Be sure you are getting all of your recommended Protein too. If that doesn't help - call your Dr to make sure not serious (blood clot).
Barry W 336 Posted July 25, 2016 Leg cramps can be electrolyte deficiency - make sure you're getting enough sodium and potassium
